Have you been searching for your pot of gold? I think we might just have the treasures you have been looking for here at CQK! Before you start thinking about that tasty green beer, set your sights on some fun little St. Patrick's Day projects.
If it is Celtic themed fabrics or patterns that get your shamrocks hoppin' than CQK is your pot o'gold! We have over 80 different patterns and fabrics that are all Celtic themed.
Here is another fun and simple project to add a touch of green holiday flare to your wardrobe.
I started my Shamrock shirt with a shirt I saved from the trash due to a tragic run in with a non washable marker, green and brown scrapes of fabric, double sided interfacing, and some yarn.
First, create a heart pattern that you like. After applying the interfacing to the back of your green fabric, trace four hearts and cut them out.
Do the same with a scrape of different color to make the stem of your shamrock. You can be creative and make all different color hearts. Arrange them on your shirt, mine strategically hide the marker stains
Iron them into place.
Next, I used my sewing machine and ran a single row of stitching around the entire design. You can use whatever style of stitching you like best; straight, zigzag, or applique stitch.
To add some extra texture I used some scrapes of pink yarn and sewed around the perimeter.
and, TADA a cute, festive fix to my three year old's shirt!
